Dr. Slick Mitten Scissor Clamps Straight 5-1/2" Gold Handles
Slick Tool for the fly fisherman
This fly fishing accessory combines cutting crimping and cleaning in one tool. It's made with dependable Dr. Slick quality. As the name implies it is fairly easy to squeeze while wearing mittens or gloves.
The best feature is its fine scissor cutting precision but the needle point above the cutter is a close second for removing the crud that always seems to clog your hook eyes.
The fact that the mitten tool combines these three common tasks allows you to eliminate other tools from an already cluttered vest. It looks like the kind of tool that will last many seasons.More detail ...

FOX RIVER FOUR LAYER GLOMITT MEDIUM
False advertising = unusable
I was very excited to order these gloves for walking my dog this winter. I am allergic to wool but the product description advertises that the gloves have: a "fleece interior for softness and warmth" and a "3M Thinsulate liner for insulation against the cold" making them perfect for me; I'd get the warmth of the wool without it touching my skin so no itching and/or rashes. Unfortunately the fleece and lining is only in the mitten top of the gloves. This means the only portion not wool is the very tip of the fingers when the mittens are closed. For sizing I have a 7.5" palm circumference and ordered the Medium gloves (Medium men's gloves are usually for 8" palms). So they are slightly too big but the small would have been too tight. The fact that they're a little large means I'm going to try and find some other thin non-wool glomitts (or liners I can cut the fingertips off of) that I can wear inside them so that I don't have to return them. Overall I'm very disappointed due to their false description.
If you can wear wool then these are actually nice gloves. The leather pads on the palm and mitten top are very nice. However I don't like the use of a Velcro patch to keep the mittens open. It snags on my scarf when they're closed and looks bad (a toggle or button would have been better). Also the inside of the thumbs is a little weird: its leather and has an extended leather flap that hangs down over the thumb slit it just looks strange and not very effective (maybe you're supposed to tuck the leather flap into the slit?)
These would be really great gloves if the thinsulate and fleece liners had been carried throughout.More detail ...
Seirus Innovation Men's Heater MittBlackLarge
Toasty-warm mittens!
Here in Western NY we know what cold is in the winter. My regular gloves would not keep my fingers warm so I searched for a mitten that I could put a chemical heat pack into to give me added warmth. I bought the Seirus Innovation Men's Heater Mitt just for this reason. I found that the mittens were so well made I did not need to use any of the heater packs to keep my fingers warm. They protected extremely well against blowing wind and that was my main problem with my older gloves. I certainly recommend this product.More detail ...
